A New Lens Joins the Family
My credit card and I decided to go for a trip to B&H last night for a bit of shopping and ended up with a brand new lens. I’ve had my eye on the Canon 50mm 1.4 for a long time now and could not bring myself to spend that much for a prime even with the knowledge that it is a great little lens. The thing that convinced me was seeing a bunch of night shots taken in Melbourne over at OCAU forums. I did a quick check of the local prices and as much as I love to support local business there was no way I could ignore the almost $200 difference in price. B&H had a rebate that was on until 13 Jan which made the offer to buy too irresistible. Can’t wait to give the lens a workout but for now please excuse me as I go to refresh the freight tracking. My lens still hasn’t left the States…

Ahh I love B&H. It’s taken them 4 days to get this lens to me. If I were to buy off a local online retailer it would take longer and it would cost a lot more. Something not right there.
